St Andrew’s Beach Elopement

Photographing elopements is as beautiful as the celebration itself. The intimacy, the privacy, and the time that our couples can spend focused on their own feelings rather than being distracted by the usual commotion of weddings are just some of the things that make elopements so special and heartwarming. This is something we totally love because it makes our couples happy and that’s what we always want for them. So, when we got an opportunity to photograph Allison and Sean’s gorgeous St Andrew’s Beach elopement, you can very well imagine how excited we were - for them and ourselves! We began photographing them at the Jekyll Island Historic District and went on to take their photos at the Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island. Our final location, where the ceremony took place, was the St Andrew’s Beach & Picnic Pavilion. All these places were so picturesque and had picture-perfect spots everywhere you looked. Creating photos of Allison and Sean at these locations was a joy, and the company of our couple was so much fun! If our words are not enough to convey that, the photographs tell the same story.

St Andrew’s Beach Elopement Photography

Allison and Sean first met each other through a mutual friend, and the rest is history! Today, they have shared interests in drifting, cars, the great outdoors, hiking, gardening, and mountain biking. Theirs was actually a last-minute elopement booking, but that did not keep us from giving it our all. You know, when we’re committed to a couple, we are 100% in and make sure that they only get the best!

Our associate photographer, Raven, created beautiful pictures of our couple against some really refreshing backdrops, including the green grounds, gorgeous trees, the sparkling ocean, clear skies, white sand, and everything else nature had to offer. These two are big fans of nature, and their answer to one of our questions confirmed it. When we asked Allison and Sean about what was that one song that HAD to be played at their wedding, they said they’d prefer the sound of nature. We are pretty sure that they got exactly what they wished for. After witnessing their love for nature, we knew that we had to take their wedding photographs in a way that reflected that.

We loved how our couple’s ceremony site was set up at the beach. The florals were absolutely sublime, and the pastel colors synced perfectly with the wedding theme. Another highlight of this wedding? Our couple’s guests - their two furry friends! And they added such a paw-dorable touch to the photos. Also, we got super lucky because they were pretty great posers too.

From the amazing natural light to the huge dried-up tree on the beach where we created some stunning images of our couple, we loved photographing this elopement. There was just so much to play around with. Besides photographing Allison and Sean together, we also took solo portraits of them. Their wedding look, the details, and all the efforts they put into it deserved the spotlight. Allison and Sean, if you are reading this, we feel honored to have gotten the chance to play our little role in your special day.
