Weddings & Elopements always give us the opportunity to document authentic and heartwarming moments as they unfold. Free from the commotion that usually happens at big, traditional weddings, elopements are perfect for really focusing on the couple. "Get ready for a happy/calm/drama-free day" is what my bride, Chandler, told us when we asked her for any specific details she might want us to be aware of. Aaron and Chandler were so amazing and, without a doubt, one of the most relaxed couples I've gotten to know and photograph. Love and joy were in the air at their Bonaventure Cemetery wedding, which was a small wedding with about 10 people. These two wanted their wedding day to be a beautiful memory with all the people who loved them unconditionally. And that's exactly what they got.
Aaron And Chandler's Bonaventure Cemetery Wedding
Aaron and Chandler's Bonaventure Cemetery elopement was an intimate affair with just family members and best friends in attendance. In fact, it was such a close-knit event that the bride's brother, Keith, was their officiant. There were no official bridesmaids or wedding party. Just a bunch of people coming together to celebrate the bride and groom! As Chandler said, it was a drama-free and happy day!
While most weddings and elopements will have some decor or theme, Aaron and Chandler decided to go with the flow and let their surroundings be the decor for the wedding. And we can't complain. The location was perfect for couples' portraits. There was so much greenery around, and it perfectly complemented the colors our bride and groom were wearing. Instead of worrying about the usual wedding day things, Aaron and Chandlery were only focused on each other and their lovely guests.
The couple kept things very casual. There were no grand entrances or exits. The bride even walked down the aisle alone. The most heartwarming moment of their Bonaventure Cemetery wedding was when the bride and groom said their vows to each other. You could tell these two were completely in love and meant to be together. And we loved documenting this in photographs. It was so effortless to bring out that love in their wedding photos.
Even though everything was so non-traditional, we enjoyed our couple's time dedicated to couples portraits. Chandler even put on a customer-made denim jacket with "Mrs Faticone" written on its back. We walked around the park at the back of the cemetery and got some stunning portraits by the pond and the white bridge. The setting was truly gorgeous. A wall adorned with lush green vines gave us the perfect backdrop for some romantic couple photos. This is where we took solo photos of Aaron, who gave us some of the biggest, beaming smiles!
