Family portrait sessions are something that we always look forward to photographing. From watching parents and children share heartwarming moments to capturing their glowing smiles, we strive to create a day and photos that every family member will remember fondly. In addition to documenting the love, laughter, and joy they share, we make sure the whole family looks their best by making them feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. Photographing the Okonkwo's Brooklyn Family Portrait Session was such a treat! They were super sweet and such a delight to work with. Plus, their little munchkin was indeed the star of the session. 

The Okonkwo Brooklyn Family Portrait Session 

Each time we get the opportunity to take stunning family photos, we get so excited. We can’t wait to capture all the sweet bonding moments between every family member. We love photographing them against different backdrops, helping the kids and adults pose for pictures, and letting them have some fun family time - it always makes for such great pictures. For their family portrait session, the Okonkwos chose to stay indoors and opted for a relaxed setting, focusing solely on the lovely relationship between the family members. Sometimes the best place to have a family portrait session is in your home! 

Styled in casual clothes with a whole lot of love in their hearts, the Okonkwos were ready to create pictures that would last a lifetime. The proud mom and dad were beaming with happiness as they posed with their son, who was holding a helium balloon in his hands. The little munchkin looked so adorable in his sweater, stealing the show (and, of course, our hearts) with his cute dimpled smile and curly hair! He was such a happy toddler throughout the session. 

We let kids be kids!

As portrait photographers, we know that kids can get a tad overwhelmed with all the posing; that’s why we let the kids be kids and make the session as fun as possible by cracking jokes or even letting them make all the goofy faces they want to. One of the highlights from the session was when the toddler tried to mimic us by holding a polaroid camera in his hands and taking a picture! He was just too precious! He was running around, climbing up on chairs, dancing, and was so full of energy. 

To top off their family portrait session, the mom also posed with her baby bump as the dad held her from behind. They had the widest smiles on their faces and were looking forward with sheer joy and anticipation to the birth of their second child! There was so much love and laughter in the air, and we felt so happy to capture these love-filled moments for the Okonkwo family.
